When hot weather conditions are forecasted for an extended period of time, the Village, in cooperation with La Grange Memorial Hospital, is prepared to provide temporary shelter for residents in need of this service. Hot weather conditions can be especially dangerous for older adults. Watch for information on the Village website for instruction should the cooling center open.
If you, a family member, or a neighbor are in need of such assistance, go directly to the La Grange Memorial Hospital. Use the main emergency room entrance, ask for security, and indicate need for the cooling center. Hospital security will escort you to the center.
