The Villa Venice Water Main Lining Project consists of reconstructing a Village owned 6" water main located on Villa Venice property along the east side of the property from 51st Street to Plainfield Road. This water main was installed in 1962 and is in need of replacement.
The water main will be reconstructed by utilizing a process called cured-in-place pipe lining technology. Cured-in-place lining involves inserting a new liner inside the existing pipe and curing it in place with hot water. The purpose of utilizing this lining process is to provide a new, structurally sufficient pipe without excavating the entire roadway and parking lot, removing trees and disturbing other landscaped areas.
